Sound commercial experience (particularly end-user sales in the laboratory industry).

THE POSITION:
The Company is seeking to expand its Sales team by recruiting a Sales Manager to develop sales of the Company’s laboratory glassware and plasticware within the UK and specific countries in northern Europe.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the new post-holder will aim to achieve the sales and margin targets for the territory, whilst developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plans within defined markets and key accounts.
Educated to degree level, candidates should have a proven track record in sales and preferably have experience of selling to overseas markets. Knowledge of the laboratory/scientific market and an understanding of the applications of their products would be beneficial (although not essential as full product training will be given).
Excellent communication skills are expected as is the strong determination to win business. The ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills is also essential.
Knowledge of a European language would be an advantage.
Although based at the Company’s offices in Staffordshire, the post-holder will be
expected to undertake regular travel throughout the territory (approximately 40%-
50% of time will be spent out of the office / “on the road”) and candidates will
therefore require a full UK driving licence.

FRAMEWORK
