HR Advisor
Hampshire - Circa £27,000

£25000 to £27000 per annum
Overall Purpose/Objectives of Role:
1. To be responsible for the provision of recruitment, reward, training and development and all HR policies within the organisation.
2. To support the Human Resources Manager in providing an effective HR service which leads the Company towards achieving its business objectives.
Key duties:
1. Provision of a successful recruitment and selection strategy, ensuring probationary reviews are carried out by managers and new employees are confirmed in post where appropriate.
2. Assisting the HR Manager in ensuring that policies and procedures are developed and applied fairly and consistently throughout the company in accordance with current legislation.
3. Provide professional HR Advice and support to all employees and managers on the full range of HR topics.
4. Ensuring excellent employee relations and communications are encouraged across the organisation by working closely with managers and employees.
5. Providing proactive customer focused advice and guidance to managers on legal and employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and absence control matters, being mindful of potential legal claims and liaising with company lawyers.
6. Working alongside managers to assist in training needs analysis and developing training plans to meet the needs of the business. Organising and, where appropriate, delivering relevant training as required.
7. Responsible for building effective and positive working relationship with the designated HR Administrator on a day-to-day basis.
Legal knowledge
- Good working knowledge of applying and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Good working knowledge of employment law specifically the Dispute Regulations.
- Practical understanding of the legal implications of employment decisions
Policies and procedures.
- Experience of writing policies and procedures to meet legislative requirements that are accurate, clear and with only one interpretation.
- Experience of identifying and implementing new policies and procedures.

- Experience of working with managers in identifying training needs.

- Graduate member of CIPD achieved through qualification (or studying toward) or a relevant degree plus CPP.
- Extensive experience in conducting Disciplinary, Grievance and Capability.
- Experience of working as an HR Advisor in a company employing over 100 people.
