3 month contract - £26.00 per hour
Both EDS and 3D Design Engineers in Coventry and 3D Design Engineers Crewe.

Our client is a successful and expanding global supplier of Wire, Cable and Wiring Systems.
The UK business operates from Newcastle-under-Lyme and supplies major customers in the automotive, commercial vehicle and supplier sectors from our world class overseas manufacturing facilities.
Part of a multi-disciplined team based at our customers engineering centres these roles are responsible for all the engineering design and validation aspects of the electrical distribution during vehicle launch phases and volume production. You will generate and validate robust engineering solutions and demonstrate product integrity through calculation or modelling.
EDS Design Engineers - Your duties will include aligning multiple data sources, including 3D models and circuit data to create engineering harness drawings. Knowledge of CAPH/Vesys advantageous.
3D Packaging Design Engineer - Your duties will include the design of robust harness packaging solutions modelled in a 3D virtual environment. Knowledge of electrical workbench and team centre engineering advantageous.
Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. You should have proven experience in electrical or wiring design/installation, preferably in the automotive or transportation sector. Awareness of automotive systems, standards required.

Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose
• To maintain plant machinery for packaging, converting and manufacturing to ensure that these continue to operate at optimum levels with a minimum of downtime.
• To set-up machines/resolve problems in production in these areas.
• To adjust machinery or to suggest ideas of modifications.
• To support Manufacturing and other functions in all aspects of both production and continuous improvement projects.
Key Results Area
• Undertake routine maintenance of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
• Carry out fault finding to detect and repair electrical and mechanical faults on machinery and equipment.
• Timely reaction to plant breakdowns and speed of response in rectifying breakdown problems.
• Supervise external contractors and colleagues as required.
• Timely completion of Maintenance requests.
• Maintain records of maintenance carried out.
• Advise other maintenance personnel on any technical issues beyond their scope.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules and health and safety legislation.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant environmental standards.
• Support Manufacturing, Quality, R&D and Project Engineering activities as required.
Knowledge & Skills
• Recognized qualification e.g. HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Electrical bias role with high degree of mechanical knowledge.
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and motor control circuitry.
• Previous relevant electrical maintenance engineer experience.
• Hands on knowledge of relevant plant and machinery.
• Communication skills.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Time served mechanical or electrical engineer.
• Practical and logical approach to problem solving and dealing with breakdowns and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to work well within a team with a flexible approach.
• Experience of continuous improvement/ world class manufacturing.
• Knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation/compliance.
